Project Manager

Reporting to the Manager of Project Management,  the Project Manager works in close collaboration with producers and other members of the production and publishing teams to perform the project management duties required to ensure the on-scope, on-time, and on-budget completion of projects. The Project Manager spearheads all planning and execution activities of the project lifecycle, ensures that the project team adheres to the company’s project management methodology and processes, and is responsible for continuous process improvement inside the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Measure project progress against the success criteria and ensure project goals are achieved.

  • Resolve project conflicts and blocking issues, identify resource requirements and bottlenecks, and ensure project scope is clearly defined and understood. 

  • Perform project-related administrative tasks such as communicating project information to stakeholders, design templates, create presentations, review and edit project deliverables, and maintain the project information repository. 

  • Review and audit existing project management processes and procedures, and employ best practices to propose alternatives for continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with other production leads assigned to projects and manage lines of communication with the project team, including internal and external team members, to ensure the timely completion of project milestones and deliverables.

  • Work closely with other organizations outside of the production team, such as Engineering, Publishing, and Finance, to ensure that projects are effectively planned, executed, and well-organized, and the needs of those teams are met.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3+) years of professional experience in project management: planning, building, shipping, and supporting world-class video games.

  • Strong organization, collaboration, documentation, and progress reporting skills are required to effectively manage tasks and complete projects as planned.

  • Proven analytical abilities, relationship-building skills, and motivation skills to effectively organize resources and work under budget and deadline constraints.

  • Proficiency in managing simultaneous project tasks, initiatives, and shifting priorities, controlling project scope and schedule changes, and maximizing team performance.

  • Credible, reliable, and well-respected by peers, possessing a firm belief that leadership and people skills are key elements for successful project delivery.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency with communicating project status and performance to executives, are required.

  • Flexible and willing to perform other tasks as assigned with a positive attitude.

  • Expert skills with Confluence and Jira, or similar project management tools.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in the relevant field.

  • Scrum Master/Product Owner Certification, Kanban, or other Agile training a plus.
